Challenge #1 for Treasured Times Rubber Stamps and Scrapbooking. All for the love of the Red, White and Blue!

I am an artist/digi artist, so I used my own digi stamp.  The American Bald Eagle.  Here is my project.....

I used Blue Bazzel Card Stock for my base card.  I printed out a photo of a flag and added my own Eagle drawing,  I cut a slit in the Eagles beak and inserted a gold lammae ribbon into the beak.  I added three buttons on the bottom edge, bringing it all together....Thank you for the viewing of my blog and please leave a comment. Thanks!!

Challenge #24 at Tsunami Rose Designs

This weeks challenge is a "Sketch Challenge"

                                                            And here is the sketch....

Once again I used the "Polished Lackluster" Printable journal papers.  This is a great sketch and I loved doing this card.  Here is my project:

I used Black Bazzel for the base card. I used Martha Stewarts punch and black grograin ribbon across the mid section.  Added white pearls and a leaf motif.

I used the sentiment from this collection and added some black pearls to make it pop.  On the tag, I topped it off with ribbon and tulle.  Added some stickles to the paper and was very pleased with my results.  Please leave a comment.  I love the comments you leave.  They give me a lot of inspiration. Challenge this week is titled "Romance and Love"

This weeks challenge is all about Romance and Love.  And what better project to do than having a beautifully decorated clip board to write those love letters on to heighten your romantic side!  This is the first time I have altered a clipboard and it came out beautiful.. I used Daisy Collins  "Polished Lackluster" Printable Journal pages for this project.  Here is my project...

I painted the metal with Acrylic paint and added jewels and ribbons, pearl drops, tulle and a rose I made with my sizzix flower die cut.  I enlarged the "Polished Lackluster" paper to 8 x 10 and added the tags and the sentiment.  I used stickles on the roses and placed a butterfly on the edge.  I hope you like my clipboard and please leave a comment on what you think about my project.  To get the "Polished Lackluster" printable journal pages, hop on over to the following link:\

Challenge #21 at Tsunami Rose Designs

This weeks challenge is Cards:

This weeks challenge is "Cards".  I made this card using white Bazzell cardstock and  paper from Paper Studio.  The awesome embellishments are by Daisy Collins @ Tsunami Rose Designs.    These embellishments make a card elegant.  Sophisticated.   Here is my card:

I scalloped the top of the card and inked the edges.  I added a netting to the womans hat.  A tiny pearl on the drawn earring as to make it stand out.  I used stickles on the net, and added a pearl to the flag tag.  I used Black Bazzell cardstock for the framing of the tags.  And I used spellbinders dies cuts behind the tags, both inside and out.  Then, I decided to add to the card and gave it an extra Black Pearl atop the tag.  Here it is with the Black Pearl....

I love the added touch!  Thank you for looking at my project and please comment....Love reading them!!  To find these embellishments and other papers by Daisy Collins, please go to the link that follows:

Challenge #17 for Tsunami Rose Designs...Tic Tac Toe

This weeks Challenge is Tic Tac Toe using Discarded Emphemera Papers

I have to start out telling a funny story about this weeks challenge....When Daisy released to the Design Team about the Tic Tac Toe of things....I was thinking she had some Tic Tac Toe papers...Well, I am looking everywhere for these papers! I said in our private group. I cant find these papers and I no ones projects are tic tac toe! Image what she must have been thinking when she read my post!!!!  Haha...She patiently explained it to me (probably rolling her eyes) lol. So, I decided that if she wanted Tic Tac Toe, she would get just that!  Hence, my project:

I bought what is actual a clock board for making a clock...It is an 8 x 8 pine board with a hole in the middle and already sanded.  I used a cross of masking tape to cover the top part of the hole before covering with paper.  I painted the sides overlapping the top of the board by about 1/8" with a coordinating colour.  I chose brown in this case.

Now comes the math. I had to figure out how big the 9 squares would be to evenly cover the board. But I did it!  Each square is 2 5/8" x 2 5/8".  I applied Mod Padge to glue down the pieces and then covered the top with 2 layers of Mod Podge, brushing in different directions.  I bought some wooden round, (sanded including the edges) discs. Painted with two coordinating colours and varnished with Mod Podge.  This board is perfect for those road trips with arguing siblings in the back seat.  No way to cheat at tic tac toe either.  I hope you guys like my project and hope you got a good laugh at my brief mental illness about the project...haha!  To find these and other papers by Daisy Collins go to the following link:
