I enlarged the "Polished Lackluster" paper to 8 x 10 and added the tags and the sentiment. I used stickles on the roses and placed a butterfly on the edge. I used stickles on the net, and added a pearl to the flag tag. I used Black Bazzell cardstock for the framing of the tags. And I used spellbinders dies cuts behind the tags, both inside and out. Then, I decided to add to the card and gave it an extra Black Pearl atop the tag. Here it is with the Black Pearl....

This months products have a safari type feel to them. So, given that, I did this card, and the stick pin is amazing on it. It made the card pop! I used paper from Colorblok and Bazzel Cardstock. I prined out one of my own digi drawings onto the same colour stock as the inside of the card. Added a ribbon from Michaels and some faux dried wheat. I hope you like my project. Please leave a comment. Thanks!....Paislee Peacock

I have to start out telling a funny story about this weeks challenge....When Daisy released to the Design Team about the Tic Tac Toe of things....I was thinking she had some Tic Tac Toe papers...Well, I am looking everywhere for these papers! I said in our private group. I cant find these papers and I no ones projects are tic tac toe! Image what she must have been thinking when she read my post!!!! Haha...She patiently explained it to me (probably rolling her eyes) lol. So, I decided that if she wanted Tic Tac Toe, she would get just that! Hence, my project:

I bought what is actual a clock board for making a clock...It is an 8 x 8 pine board with a hole in the middle and already sanded. I used a cross of masking tape to cover the top part of the hole before covering with paper. I painted the sides overlapping the top of the board by about 1/8" with a coordinating colour. I chose brown in this case.

Now comes the math. I had to figure out how big the 9 squares would be to evenly cover the board. But I did it! Each square is 2 5/8" x 2 5/8". I applied Mod Padge to glue down the pieces and then covered the top with 2 layers of Mod Podge, brushing in different directions. I bought some wooden round, (sanded including the edges) discs. Painted with two coordinating colours and varnished with Mod Podge. This board is perfect for those road trips with arguing siblings in the back seat. No way to cheat at tic tac toe either. I hope you guys like my project and hope you got a good laugh at my brief mental illness about the project...haha! To find these and other papers by Daisy Collins go to the following link:

.

The card challenge states we are to use Doillies, Ribbon and Buttons. The paper we are featuring this month is Live Abloom paper. The "Lifes Abloom" Line is very pristeen and very soft and feminine. Doillies in itself are feminine, so with the combination, its very striking. Here is my card...
Well, here we are at Challenge #9...2013 is passing fast. This weeks challenge is an "Altered Item". I have chosen a "Hat Box"..I love hat boxes. They are girly and a classy looking item in any Boudoir. They remind me of the old movie "Breakfast At Tiffanys". And what better paper to use than Daisy Collins "Parisian Daydream" line. On a Parie street at the little food shoppes along the way. Here is my Hat Box......................
This weeks challenge is anything goes....These are so much fun because they allow you to let your senses flow! Tennis shoes, New Beginnings Papers and good ole Mod Podge! Here are the shoes..............
I tore the pages in every direction. Then I added Mod Podge to each piece of paper and placed them randomly until the shoe was covered...Brushed another coat of Mod Podge over the entire paper and let dry. I also covered the tongue of the shoes and painted with a coordinating colour, the stitched area on and around the lace eyelets. Then I added stickles on the rose petals and various other spots to balance it a bit. Then I added lavender dotted swiss ribbon for shoe strings. Pretty cotton lace is what I wanted to use for the laces, but I didnt have any on hand. Hope you like my shoes!! My next project is a purse made from a box..New Beginnings paper done in squares and applied with Mod Podge. Sealed with another coat. Stickles and ink shadings. A jeweled handle to capture all the colours of the paper. It is hinged and has a decorative latch. They are lined and mirrored. Another Lavender dotted swiss ribbon dropping down off the corner of one end of the handle with a birdcage charm. These too were alot of fun.
