Challenge #9 at Tsunami Rose....Altered Item

Well, here we are at Challenge #9...2013 is passing fast.  This weeks challenge is an "Altered Item".  I have chosen a "Hat Box"..I love hat boxes. They are girly and a  classy looking item in any Boudoir. They remind me of the old movie "Breakfast At Tiffanys".  And what better paper to use than Daisy Collins "Parisian Daydream" line. On a Parie street at the little food shoppes along the way.  Here is my Hat Box......................

And here is the top of the box....it has flowers by spare parts. Feathers, bridal pearl sprays, stick pin, red glittered and pink Tulle, stickles and a "Parisian Daydream" tag.   I made the handle from Ribbon.

I hope you enjoyed viewing my Hat Box.  Be on the look out for next weeks challenge...A new line and a new project...Thanks for stopping by.  You ladies are all awesome!  Stop by the Zibbet store for more of Tsunami Rose Line .

    •
I didnt add any photos as I am waiting to use this years St. Pattys' photos. And the journaling card with it.  I used Pinque Peacocks Beautiful Green Stick Pin...This pin is really Beautiful! I used the Irish Green Flower and in the upper right corner of the page I used the green button...These buttons are really very pretty and made very well!  Here is a close up of the flower cluster..

The die cuts were Spellbinders and I shadowed them with a darker green.  I added pearls and stickles, tulle and ribbon that says Kiss Me...Im Irish. Hence the title on the page!  The leaves were in the Garden Cricut Cart and they too are shadowed.  I enjoyed my first Hop with Pinque Peacock and I hope you enjoyed it too! Thanks for hopping by my blog and I love your comments....

Challenge #8 at Tsunami Rose.....Colour Inspiration

For this weeks challenge, I chose a cylindrical veneer box I purchased at Hobby Lobby for around $3.00.  I used Mod Podge and Parisian Papers by Daisy Collins to  cover the box and its lid.  But before I covered the lid with this scrumptious paper, I found the center point and punched a hole in it.  I took a very unusual patterned ribbon I purchased at Michaels and folded it and stuck it in the hole and knotted it inside the lid to stabilize the ribbon for a handle.

And then I added my handmade Roses from sizzix 3D roses die cut. Added Red Tulle, Red Feathers, Wedding Pearl drops, all purchased at Hobby Lobby. Topped it off with a beautiful Beaded Stick Pin I purchased from Anna Garcia at Scrapbook deals. Added some stickles here and there and the box really turned out Beautiful!

Thank you ladies for stopping by my blog.  Please feel free to leave your comments. I enjoy reading them and getting feedback  to aid in further posts.  You can find these beautiful, romantic pages at the following link:

                                             Sketch inspiration.

Sketch by @[1630261376:2048:Kimberly Pate].

I used Parisian Daydream papers, as you see, by Tsunami Rose.  And I followed the sketch almost to the t.  I used Pink Bazzell for the back of the card.  The large heart I cut from the middle of one of the tags....beautiful tags I might add.  I Added stickles....yuuuuuum.. And I added a feather and a pearl spray. The camera nor the scanner can capture all the stickles on the roses...it is beautiful.  Here is my card.........

Challenge #6 for Tsunami Rose....Anything Goes

Hey everyone....Another Challenge here at Tsunami Rose.  This week is anything goes. Anything goes projects are alot of fun because it requires using our imaginations.  So this week I chose a wooden jewelry box....And I am using the Parisian Dream Line by Daisy Collins...This paper is rich in colour and takes you away to thoughts of Paris.  Femme Fatal...Here is my project:

I basecoated the box black and I printed the papers out on copy paper instead of card stock. Card stock would have been too heavy to apply.  Applied all the way around with  Mod Podge and then added another coat to seal.

I added stickles....by now you all know how much I love stickles! And I handemade the roses on a lightweight cardstock using the sizzix 3D flower maker. Added glimmering red toulle and spray pearls. And I lined the inside of the box (not pictured) and it is sitting by my bed. Thanks for stopping by my blog and thanks for any comments...I love them!
